TOOK MY MONEY BUT NO PRO? HF - WHO?
I experienced issues with Hugging Face's payment processing system when attempting to use a Prezzie card. Despite being informed that temporary Visa cards cannot be used, the money was still withdrawn from my card, as confirmed by the receipt. This raises concerns about either a code issue or inconsistencies in their payment processing system. While the system seems to accept the payment, Hugging Face appears to reject it, leaving me without resolution.
To make matters worse, I have not been contacted by Hugging Face's support team, nor has their accounts or payment management team addressed the error. Their billing support is difficult to locate, and the reliance on FAQs or automated bots only adds to the frustration for users who have already made payments but are left without proper assistance.
If Hugging Face truly aims to lead innovation, it should innovate its own user support processes. A dedicated billing support system—focused on resolving user-specific issues rather than onboarding or imposing payment restrictions—needs to be implemented. The lack of connection between their backend payment processor and user-facing systems undermines the intent of providing an open-source tool and instead feels like a commercial misstep. Hugging Face's original vision seems compromised, leaving users to deal with corrupted processes and unaddressed concerns.
