Academic access for DeepSpot M?

#1
by SrikrishnanRameshbabu - opened

Hi team! Thanks so much for your great work on this model.

My initial access request for DeepSpot M was rejected, likely because I didn't provide enough detail. I am a Research Fellow at Dana-Farber/Harvard and Uro-Oncology Faculty at Amrita. We would love to use DeepSpot M in our lab's AI pipelines to analyze single-cell and spatial data for an ongoing prostate cancer clinical trial.

Would you be open to reconsidering my access for this non-commercial academic research? I'm happy to verify via my institutional email.
Thanks for your time!
Best,
Sri

Hi Sri, thank you for your interest in our study. You should have access now.

Dear DeepSpot Team,

Thank you for your outstanding work on the DeepSpot model.

I am writing to politely request a reconsideration of my access request for DeepSpot M, which was recently declined. I believe my initial request lacked the necessary specific context regarding our research aims.

I am a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Artificial Intelligence at Seoul National University. My research deeply aligns with your work, focusing on predicting gene expression from H&E pathology images and spatial transcriptomics using multi-modal foundation models.

We are currently preparing a manuscript for a major AI conference. Because DeepSpot M represents a highly significant advancement in this field, we strongly wish to include it as a primary state-of-the-art baseline in our comparative evaluations. Benchmarking our methodologies against your robust model is crucial for our experimental rigor.

I assure you that the model weights will be used strictly for non-commercial, academic benchmarking purposes, and your work will be properly cited in our resulting publications. I have requested access using my institutional email for verification.

Thank you for your time and for reconsidering my application.

Best regards,

Hyeongsub Kim

Hi team!

Thanks so much for your great work on DeepSpotM.

My initial access request for DeepSpotM was rejected, likely because I didn't provide enough detail about my intended use.

I am an undergraduate student at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi, currently working on computational pathology and spatial transcriptomics research. I would like to use DeepSpotM for non-commercial academic research to reproduce the results from your paper and evaluate the model as part of my research project. The model will be used strictly for research purposes in accordance with the repository's license.

I assure you that the model weights will be used strictly for non-commercial, academic benchmarking purposes, and your work will be properly cited in our resulting publications. I have requested access using my institutional email for verification.

Would you be open to reconsidering my access request? I'm happy to verify my affiliation using my institutional @iitd.ac.in email if needed.

Thank you for your time and consideration!

Hello @hyeongsub and @Shivanshu9799 , thank you for your interest in our research and for providing the details. You should have access now.

Hi team! Thank you very much for your excellent work on DeepSpot M.

I am an academic researcher at a university-affiliated tertiary hospital, with a PhD and postdoctoral research experience. I would like to request access to DeepSpot M for non-commercial academic research within our group.

We plan to use the model to analyze H&E pathology images together with high-definition spatial transcriptomic data from samples. Specifically, we are interested in exploring spatial pathological niches, linking histomorphological features with spatial molecular patterns, and evaluating its potential within our digital pathology–spatial omics analysis pipeline.

The model would be used exclusively for academic research, with no commercial purpose. I can verify my academic affiliation using my institutional email address: [wangkh8@mail.sysu.edu.cn].

Would you be open to granting academic access to DeepSpot M?

Thank you very much for your consideration and for making this valuable work available to the research community!

Best,

Hello @Kanghua8 , thank you for your interest! You’ll need to apply through the project’s Hugging Face page.

Dear DeepSpot-M team,

Would you please reconsider my access request? I would like to provide more detail about my affiliation and intended research use.

I am a master’s student in Bioinformatics at the University of Belgrade, working with Tatjana Srdić Rajić at the Institute of Oncology and Radiology of Serbia on a study of treatment response in triple-negative breast cancer.

We plan to use DeepSpot-M to infer spatial gene-expression patterns from pretreatment H&E-stained FFPE biopsies, focusing on immune activation, alternative immune checkpoint ligands, and ferroptosis-related pathways. We will integrate these predictions with RT-qPCR and immunofluorescence findings to explore associations with pathological response to neoadjuvant chemo-immunotherapy.

My affiliations are exclusively academic/public non-profit, I hold no concurrent commercial affiliation, and this project has no commercial funding or collaboration.
The model would be used solely for non-commercial academic research, with no clinical or diagnostic deployment, in accordance with the access conditions and license.

We will cite your paper and acknowledge DeepSpot-M in all resulting publications and presentations.
I can provide institutional verification and further project details if needed. Thank you for considering my request.

Best regards,
Miron Petrik Popović
